I dream that all people get quality medical services. To achieve this goal sufficient number of highly qualified and skilled doctors, nurses and health care professionals are required so we need standard educational institutes and to develop qualified manpower and render quality medical services to the people. To contribute in this field I established Khulna Surgical and Medical Hospital in 1988 and renamed as Gazi Medical College Hospital Ltd in 2011. Gazi Medical College & Hospital Ltd has its three wings Gazi Medical College Hospital, Gazi Medical College & GMR Nursing Institute. The hospital has 500 beds with modern facilities. The vision of the hospital is to provide a comprehensive, one-stop healthcare solution for the people of southern part of the country. The outpatient departments serve more than 700 patients daily. We have department wise indoor-outdoor services as per requirement of standard teaching hospital. We have also specialized center for Dialysis, CCU, HDU, ICU, NICU and specialized Neuro ICU. We have a diagnostic wing which included modern equipments like CT Scan, MRI, BMD, Endoscopy, Echo, Doppler RT-PCR, ETT and much more. Our vision is to ensure world class health care solution for all.Gazi Medical College is the first Private Institution in Khulna City established and approved by Ministry of Health and family Welfare in 2011-12 academic session.We offer 5 years MBBS course in Gazi Medical College and one year Internship in Gazi Medical College Hospital. The members of Gazi Medical College governing body, the principal, vice principal, all the teachers and general staffs of the college are working together as a team to achieve the goal. Yearly intake of GMC is 100 students. More than 500 students from Bangladesh, India and Nepal study in this College in an international environment. It’s our students who are playing a vital role for sparking the name of the college by their brilliant and outstanding results in Bangladesh, India and Nepal.GMR Nursing Institute is another wing of Gazi Medical College & Hospital Ltd. Established in 2010 conducting 3 years course in Diploma in Nursing Science and Diploma in Midwifery. This Institute is approved by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) and Ministry of Heath family Welfare (MHFW) of Bangladesh. Yearly intake is 105 students. I am grateful to the government of Bangladesh specially the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHFW), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Rajshahi University (RU), Rajshahi Medical University (RMU), Sheikh Hasina Medical University, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) and our well-wishers for their constant inspiration and support. I also thankful to National Medical Commission (NMC) of India former (MCI) and Nepal Medical Council (NMC) for enlisting Gazi Medical College. GMC is also enlisted in the World Directory of Medical Schools of WHO. Our Alumni also eligible to appear PLAB & USMLE.We are committed to produce qualified doctors, nurses for our country as well as for abroad.
